March strip

I decided to use the Mock Honeycomb pattern for one of my longer strips. This one will go either in the front or back. The lower photo is the strip folded in half and gives and overall impression of the pattern's texture. The detail above is a close of the pattern in the deep colored yarn.

Mock Honeycomb

I thought I had replied to your support e-mail for the honeycomb stitch, but somehow sent the message to myself. (I'm still thinking about that one.) Anyway, I tried the pattern again and realized that I was not catching the k sts under the strands (after pulling then up). I was pulling up strands, then knitting the next stitch separately. That's why I was getting extra sts.
So, about 30 mins. later, I had a nice sample of honeycomb. Thanks much.
The Zigzag is now giving me fits, but I don't think I'll use this one anyway. It takes much longer to knit and uses a lot more yarn. It is also much denser than I want for my jacket. I love the half-linen sts. and have used it before on other items. It would make a nice bottom edge for the garment. Simple and it draws attention to the other more intricate patterns.
Thanks for your help. :) - Sahara
