Third strip

As I told a couple of our group members, I found a pattern that I really like in the Vogue Vol. 1 Stitchionary. I was on a knitting roll and just couldn't wait for the third mailing. Anyway, here is a photo of it. I will figure out a way to incorporate it along with the other patterns.

Strip 2: Vine Lace Photoa

At last it's done. I love it. Now I am inspired to try
other lace patterns.

Following the pattern

Wow! Do I have to pay attention to lace patterns! Thanks, Gwen for the marker tip, but I still have trouble maintaining the number of stitches per pattern row. Somehow I am losing a stitch or two periodically. Then I have to rip out four or five rows to find the problem, but I don't find it because the yarn is like spaghetti ( all the yo's), so I have to go back to a purl row with the correct number of stitches and more or less start that section over. It is frustrating. :((
BUT I know that if no one talks to me while I'm knitting this strip, I'll get it done. I am even inspried to try a different pattern or two now. I just have to build in "alone time" to do it.
I am using the vine lace pattern for one strip and am thinking about using the zig-zag pattern for another strip...
As soon as I get my future grand daughter's sweater finished, I'll start on another one of these kimonos in a shorter style. Then I can try more patterns. Yes, I'm a knit-aholic.

Second packet

The second packet arrived Saturday. I was so excited that I got out my practice yarn and attempted each pattern to see if I could manage them. Unfortunately, I found that I couldn't get the first and third patterns to work out. I sent a message to our page, but it didn't make it, I guess, as it didn't get a response. Today,I noted that others have had problems too. Thanks, Gwen, for the updates. I will try again.
(BTW I have the dangedest time logging onto that Blogger site. It takes forever, and this last time I had to change my e-mail, etc. just to get to my previously established blog page. Weird.
I hope there are no problems next time. )
Happpy knitting, y'all. - Sahara
