Following the pattern
Wow! Do I have to pay attention to lace patterns! Thanks, Gwen for the marker tip, but I still have trouble maintaining the number of stitches per pattern row. Somehow I am losing a stitch or two periodically. Then I have to rip out four or five rows to find the problem, but I don't find it because the yarn is like spaghetti ( all the yo's), so I have to go back to a purl row with the correct number of stitches and more or less start that section over. It is frustrating. :((
BUT I know that if no one talks to me while I'm knitting this strip, I'll get it done. I am even inspried to try a different pattern or two now. I just have to build in "alone time" to do it.
I am using the vine lace pattern for one strip and am thinking about using the zig-zag pattern for another strip...
As soon as I get my future grand daughter's sweater finished, I'll start on another one of these kimonos in a shorter style. Then I can try more patterns. Yes, I'm a knit-aholic.
